I really though that Eiffel would have jumped out of her Tower and
knocked this one out in no time ...

Or Politicalguru ... Or fp-ga ... Or Bowler-ga ... Or Tryxie ... Or Anybody-ga?

I bet I know what's happened ... I suspect that, like me, everyone has
got over excited with the way Lancashire are sorting out Sussex in the
County Championship ...

Brilliant, Freddy

You have provided all the info I require (and, yes, I can handle
French and Dutch) but I shall leave the question open until you have
responded to my supplementary:

How many languages do you know?

You are obviously a man of many talents.

Very many thanks!

Warmest regards

Bryan

Many thanks, Freddy & Answerfinder

Me? I did French & Spanish at school and I have had plenty of
opportunity to use them since - even though everyone tells me that I
have an atrocious French accent.

I also picked up quite a bit of German, having spent a couple of years
in West Germany, as it was.

Dutch I took rather more seriously, haing lived in the Netherlands for
5 years, and I have some sort of academic certificate somewhere that
says that I even managed to bluff the Examinations Board.

If I ever find it, I might put it on ebay.

All the Best

Bryan

Thank you, Bryan, for your kind "Clarification of Question".

"How many languages" ... ? Well, ... English and German.

I may make myself understood when speaking French. And I do like
TRYING to understand some other languages, e.g. Polish.
When reading or hearing Dutch I try to grasp the meaning by switching
between English and German thereby searching for some sensible
understanding.

Regards,
Freddy
