Hello, I have an assignment for a computer course I am taking in
college. It is a ten page paper. Here is the discription of the
assignment:

"You are to reference sources to enhance your understanding of CPU,
memory, the operating systems and their relationships.  Describe the
relationships of CPU, memory and OS to other components of a computer
hardware/software. You are then to write a paper that will describe
the computer components and how they work so that a layman will
understand the following, regarding the three: CPU, memory, and OS;
1) similarities, (if any); 
2) differences; 
3) relationships of the three--the CPU, memory, and OS; and 
4) relationship of each of the three to other components of a computer.  

Your paper is to contain detailed information that will enable the
layman to make educative decision to buy ONE computer for his two
college students? work; the students share a common study area at
home. One is majoring in computer science, and the other is majoring
in business administration. (Feel free to make any assumptions about
the students and their school work.)"
