Hello nanis55-ga,

Where are you located? Are you referring to Academic Improvement Plans
when you ask about AIP scores? I was only able to find reference to
these scores in Florida. Here are some sample documents about AIPs for
middle schools. Please let me know what specific information you?re
looking for regarding individual scores. I look forward to your
clarification.

I am located in Boca Raton, Fl and my son was having trouble with a
couple of subjects at school so we hired a tutor that told us that my
son should have an AIP score and that the teachers should be helping
according to it, I also remember she said has to do with his academic
impeovement and maybe we wanted to know if the teachers where
suppossed to give more support because he was transfer from ESOL to
regular classes last year. We are originally from Colombia and his
reading and writing is still not good enough, but he is 15 years old
and we eould like for him to go to high school nexy year. I hope that
yopu got a better idea of what my question is, if not I can allways
try to make it better. Let me know. Thanks again.

Hello again nanis55-ga (Ana),

I can see why you?re very concerned about the support your son is
getting at school. I have located lots of information to help you with
making sense of what your tutor suggested about reviewing your son?s
AIP. The information on the Palm Beach County Schools website should
lead you to the rules, regulations and procedures that apply. I
suggest that you identify the appropriate contact people for your
son?s school and ask them to advise you about your son?s situation in
accordance with the required procedures.

I wish you well for getting your son the help he needs so that he can
successfully move on to high school.
