How can I combine music tracks for continuous play?

Request for Question Clarification by aht-ga on 21 Apr 2004 12:50 PDT
ione-ga:

Can you clarify what format these music tracks are in? Are we talking
about music tracks on an audio CD, or are we talking about music in
the form of files, such as MP3 files? Are you looking for a 'jukebox'
type solution where you can have a series of tracks play one after
another, or are you looking for a way to 'stitch' multiple tracks
together into one large file?

Thanks,

I am using the XP Digital Media Photostory Software to make a
slideshow with music. All works well when adding one track....BUT, my
track is not sufficiently long for all the slides SO I want to be able
to COMBINE 2 or more music tracks into a single one that plays
continuously....Thus, I will be able to add to my photostory & have
the music so from one song to the next while the photos are being
viewed. Tks for your help.

The Digital Media Photostory program allows you select one WMA, WAV,
or MP3 file as the background music. I will answer this question under
the assumption that you are using MP3 files; if you are instead using
WMA files and need a recommendation on a converter program, let me
know.

The solution you need in order to combine various MP3 files together
into a single file is a software one. There are several shareware
programs available that will allow you to merge, or join, two MP3
files together into a single file. While it is also possible to
accomplish this using audio editing software, such software is usually
much more expensive and much more complex.

Two shareware utilities (with try before you buy downloads) that
should allow you to do what you want, are:

X Video Joiner
http://www.share2s.com/video/download.htm

- Supported Files: .mpg , .mpeg, .mp1, .mp2, .mp3, .dat, .m2v..

MP3 Splitter & Joiner
http://www.ezsoftmagic.com/

- Support to merge and split large MP3 files even over 1000 minutes or 1GB.

I would encourage you to download and try these programs; if you find
one to your liking, the purchase price is not overly expensive.

I hope this helps!
