what are my options with regard to selling garage sale type items (25
cents, 99 cent items) in places not near my apt complex (like in some
large parking lot on a saturday)?  i would probably even rent a very
small uhaul truck and so be willing to drive maybe 20 miles, so long
as if my prices are low enough, i come back with nothing.

i am not really looking to make any money, but recouping part of the
fee for space rental, etc would be a nice bonus.

i live in the 90025 zone.  any other suggestions, web sites, appreciated.

You might try selling your stuff at a flea market.
