Great question!

The best book I've ever read on the subject is, appropriately enough,
an e-book written by Ken Evoy, M.D., of Make Your Site Sell! fame. You
can even download a free version of the book, which has a lot of good
info even if you don't choose to buy the book. The free book url is
http://myps.sitesell.com/mdw.html.

Oops. I made a mistake in that previous Comment. Apparently they don't
have a free book download for Make Your Price Sell! The url I gave is
the main site for the book. They at least have a satisfaction
guaranteed refund policy, which I understand is for real.

Since I mentioned the author's other book, here's its url:
http://www.sitesell.com/mdw.html.

If you want advanced theory on pricing of information goods,
"Information Rules" by Shapiro & Varian is *highly* recommended.
