John Dalton is quoted as saying something along the lines of "I was
looking at the same thing but I saw it differently". I would like to
have the exact quotation and where I might find it.

Comment refers to John Dalton's colour blindness. Quote refers to

Is this the Dalton quote you're looking for?

"...I see either red or green, or both, different from other people.
The fact is, I believe that they both appear different to me from what
they do to others."

Here is quote from another scientist, Albert Szent-Györgyi, on a similar subject:

"Discovery consists of looking at the same thing as everyone else and
thinking something different."

Please let me know if either of these is the quote you're seeking.
