This series of questions is related to employment and compensation
arrangements for hospital-employed certified registered nurse
anesthetists (CRNAs). (I would like this information to be specific
for Jacksonville, Onslow County, North Carolina, but if that is not
possible Regional or State information will do).
1. How many CRNAs are working in the hospital setting of all CRNAs in
North Carolina?
2. Of that number, are they required to clock in and out?
3. If they do not, is this anticipated to change because of increasing
hospital exposure in terms of compensation arrangements?
4. What kind of compensation arrangements do they have? Is it annual
salary, hourly, exempt, non exempt?
5. What is the average salary for CRNAs in Jacksonville, Onslow
County, North Carolina or the surrounding region?
6. What are the specific arrangements for on call pay (i.e. flat fee,
hourly, paid for productive time only, beeper call?)
7. Does the employment arrangement include housing if they live
outside of the required distance from the hospital?
8. When locum tenens (LT) CRNAs are used, what percentage are agency
derived or independent contractors?
9. Do they typically have an assignment beginning and end date or are
they ?open ended? arrangements?
10. Who are the top 5 anesthesia consulting groups or operating room
consulting groups on the east coast? |
