I bought a toy for one of my daughters. It is a sock cat made in Peru.
The label says flafla. I have two other daughters that would like a
sock cat as well. Please find out where I can order them. The place I
bought them here does not carry them anymore - the owner took a trip
to Peru and bought them.

Hi oldmonkey,

I've been trying to locate this toy for you. Can you give some more
identifying features?

How long have you had this sock cat?
Is there any other information on the label? A number, an address in Peru?
Is the sock cat hand made?
Is it wool?
Is it a puppet?
Did you buy the sock cat in the US? Which state?
What color is it? (And if more can be located, can they be different colors?)

Some South American artesania will have the name of the person who
made the item on the label. Does it appear to be handmade?

Do you have a price limit?

Finally, can the store owner tell you where she bought them? The
distributor or store name in Peru may be helpful. (I read and speak
Spanish, so if the information is in Spanish, that is OK!)

Any additional information you have may help us in locating the item for you.

Thank you,
Regards,
crabcakes

I will ask the store owner tomorrow as the store is closed today. I
can email a digital photo of the toy if that would help.

Hi oldmonkey,

Yes, it would likely help Researchers to see a photo of the toy,
although we aren't able to receive email. But you could post the
photo on a free image hosting site, then post the url here, and
Researchers could go have a look at it. http://www.villagephotos.com
and http://www.webshots are two such sites.

My daughter-in-law is from Peru and still has a lot of family, friends
and other contacts there. If crabcakes-ga or another Researcher isn't
able to help you out, I'll ask her to have a look at the photo if
you're able to get the it posted, and see if she has any ideas or
knows where to buy one.

Best wishes,
Byrd-ga
