When I try to use Internet Explorer 6 on my desktop, while I am online
in AOL, which is something that seemed to occur automatically in the
past, I cannot do so. The Internet Explorer screen says "cannot find
service Microsoft Internet
Explorer", "action cancelled" and "this page cannot be displayed". I
thought Internet Explorer settings are automatic and I do not know why
it does not open. In fact, in the past, when I search the web on
google looking for a good price to buy something, Internet Explorer
showed all kinds of other options. I also have Gator.com which
activates finding sites for shopping.
Can you help me to get Internet Explorer to work on the desktop. And
by the way, I just paid to get a fresh version of Internet Explorer on
a CD from Microsoft. Mine is a part of the computer (Gateway Profile
4X, Windows XP Home Editon. I don't want to install it on top of the
current one unless I am assured I will not do damage and it might
solve the problem. Neither Gateway support nor AOL was of any help.

Since it may take more than a few minutes, or even hours to correctly
research this question, I suggest that you consider increasing your
price, or reducing the complexity of your question. A researcher gets
75% of the listed price, and $1.50 is a lower price, for what could be
an hour or 2 of computer troubleshooting.
