Thanks for your clarification. Since I have reached a dead end in
finding teachers in Oyster Bay, I am posting as a comment links to
contact information for two Nassau County recorder teachers and one
mandolin teacher who might (or might not) be willing to travel to
Oyster Bay. You may wish to contact any or all of them to determine
their willingness to do so and at what rate.
The first recorder teacher candidate is Jodi Kokila Bennett, and here
is a link to her listing as a teacher of, among other things, the
baroque recorder. Note that she says that she will "travel . . . to
the student's home depending on location or they come to my studio."

This site indicates that she lives in Roslyn Heights, which is only 10
miles from Oyster Bay:

Here is a link to telephone contact information for another Nassau
County recorder teacher, Rachel Begley. The coding on her listing
entry indicates that she will accept adult beginner students. She is
in Port Jefferson Station, New York, which is 37 miles from Oyster
Bay. These listings are arranged in numerical order by zip code. To
find Ms. Begley, scroll down to "11776":

Finally, here is a listing from one classical mandolin teacher,
Antonina Nigrelli. Ms. Nigrelli is located in West Islip, New York,
which is 24 miles from Oyster Bay:

I hope that this information leads you to a suitable teacher. If it
does, let me know, and I will be happy to post this information as an
answer to your question.
