Hello, gerryo-ga!

You have asked a very interesting series of questions. However, it
may be very difficult (if not impossible) to find information on "how
many vouchers remain unredeemed." If a researcher cannot find that
information, would you still like the rest of your questions answered?

Yes. Maybe I should ask the subject question in another way: "How many
vouchers have been used in voucher auctions?" Since there were 8mm
voucher booklets issued (4 vouchers in each booklet), knowing how many
have been used (redeemed) would yield the answer to the question you
inquired about.

But if you cannot find out the answer, either directly or by
subtraction, then please answer the other questions in the best way
possible. Thx.

Thanks for you clarification!

I have emailed the Ministry of Economic Development in Azerbaijan
concerning outstanding vouchers. I will be pleasantly surprised if I
hear back from them. Research on this may take a while and I must
honestly say I don't know that I will be able to obtain a publicly
available list of the enterprise privatizations that have utilized
vouchers. As for the current state of privatization, the latest
information I have found dates to early 2003.
Since I am not privy to any information other than publicly available
online sources, I may merely be covering the same tracks you have. If
it sounds like this may be the case, please advise me. If your
knowledge of the privatization program extends up to 2003, I may not
be able to provide much more.

Hello, gerryo-ga. I was curious why you're interested in privatization
in Azerbaijan. Are you working on a presentation, or anything like
that?
I would appreciate your answer.
Thank you,

Yes..
Actually, it is more than an academic interest. I will be in Baku on
May 2, and I wanted to make sure that my conversations are fully
informed.

As far as I know, the Second Privatization program has been extended
and is scheduled to expre on July 31 of this year, subject to being
further extended.

I also know that no significant (large) state eneterpprises have been
privatized to date.
