I used spyhunter to scan my system. It found two parasites.:
AccessPlu {D8EFADF1-90 LOC: HKEY_CLASSE AND HKEY_LOCAL. IN THE REGISTRY.
Both were categorised as severe.
Cannot find an answer to these.

1) HouseCall (very thorough online virus scan):

2) CWShredder (update before running):
http://www.spychecker.com/program/coolwebshredder.html

3) Adaware (update before running):
http://www.spychecker.com/program/adaware.html

4) HijackThis (update before running):
http://www.spychecker.com/program/hijackthis.html

I have followed the steps you have outlined. Every scan came up
negative to the parasites in question. I suspect the original so
called parasites were not parasites at all since there was no
definition available.
I would like to call off the investigation.
