Hi,

I have a Mighty Might board which I believe is 233 mhz (it has a pc
card in it) and 64mb ram. I also have a 7? lcd panel attached to it.
I am trying to find a very small power supply that can power the unit.
It has a 4 pin connector on it (like you would see on the back of a
floppy drive), do you know how to power this thing? One side of the
four pin connector says +12 and the other side says +5. If I plug in
the floppy connector from a computer (that is running) everything
seems to work, but obviously I cannot use a full size power supply. I
am looking for an ultra small solution. Any help you can be would be
great.

Thanks!

Well some of the external drives (CDROM/HD) have power supplies to
power the hard drives. Maybe you can find such a case at the
Goodwill/DAV for a couple buck, maybe you can salvage it?

I'm not sure why you can't use a normal power supply - does it need to
be portable - in which case, what's powering the board?

Well I can easily get a power supply from radio shack in a variety of
voltages and amps etc... I just don't know how to wire it up.

Forget to say... my point being - can you not power it off the same
thing as the Mighty Might board? (you can get adapters if you need
more than one "floppy connector" - for say, the real floppy drive and
this panel...

Yes it would need to be very small, and it can plug into a wall
outlet. So I am looking for a small way to power this board that will
take up the least amount of space.

1) What are you actually doing with it.
2) What is powering whatever the LCD panel is connected to

a 7" LCD is attached to the motherboard and gets its power from the
board. I would like to mount these components on a wood board to use
as a demonstration. I also want the smallest power source I can get.
I do not want a large power supply sitting there (or even behind the
wood board). So I am looking for a solution.

Oh... so it needs to power the motherboard and the LCD - sorry, missed
the point a bit there.

have some small power supplies - if you needed to go smaller I reckon
you'd have to custom build or get someone to do it for you...
