Im looking for any information about HMS Pennywort, a Flower Class
Corvette. During the war, while on convoy duty, she run aground. She
needed repair, and was taken too Boston Naval Yard. I would like as
much information about her time there. I have a book that has 3
pictures of her while the work was taking place.

I can find some information about the HMS Pennywort's missions during
WWII, including her participation in a dramatic rescue of crew from
torpedoed ships. And apparently, she was also part of a convoy headed
to Boston, though the mission of the convoy is not stated.

But nothing, alas, on actual repair work at Boston Navy Yard.

I'll keep looking, but let me know if the mission information would be
of interest to you, even if nothing turns up on the Navy Yard proper.

Hiya,
Thank you for taking time to try to find some answers for me. I'm
aware of most of her duties.
I have lots of information about convoy HX229, and the sinking of the
Polish Destroyer Dragon. Any thing else you can find would be helpful,
such as personnel accounts.
MANY THANKS

Kevin
