Hi! Thanks for the question. The historical figures for the Canadian Consumer Price Index (from 1972 to 2001) could be found here. Consumer Price Index, 1996 classification, annual average all-items indexes, historical summary (CPI) http://www.statcan.ca/english/Pgdb/Economy/Economic/econ46.htm The Stat Scan figures for May 2002 CPI figures increased by just 1.0%. Here is the article for your reference. Latest release from the Consumer Price Index. Friday, June 14, 2002 http://www.statcan.ca/english/Subjects/Cpi/cpi-en.htm The following documents provide a breakdown of the different components of the Canadian CPI but only for the last five years. Consumer Price Index, 1996 classification, annual average indexes, the provinces (CPI) http://www.statcan.ca/english/Pgdb/Economy/Economic/econ09a.htm Search terms used: Canadian CPI historical figures I hope this would help you in your research. Please ask for a clarification if you have a question or if you would need further information. Thanks for being a part of Google Answers. Regards, Easterangel-ga |
