Interesting. As far as I can tell, there were none (that were over $5 million dollars, at least). Here's how I checked: 1. Found website that lists all US DOD contracts over $5 Million. http://www.defenselink.mil/contracts/2004/may2004.html http://www.defenselink.mil/contracts/archive.html 2. Noticed all links from archive page were at defenselink.mil domain. 3. Tried domain-specific google search for popular US DOD contractor Boeing: ://www.google.com/advanced_search?q=boeing+site:http://www.defenselink.mil&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8 (Just enter "boeing site:http://www.defenselink.mil" in google search) 4. When it worked (found tons of Boeing contracts), I changed the "boeing" part of the search to "lektro". I didn't get any hits at all. I think this means that any contracts they had were under $5 million and as such aren't published. Either that, or the contract wasn't direct. I know very little about Lektro-tech. Perhaps they are a subcontractor of another contractor that gets bids to the US Dod? |

www.fedopps.com holds up-to-date US government contract information from hundreds of government bodies including the armed forces. They also hold award information for all contracts above $25,000 in value. From the searches I have made it would seem that ELEKTRO-TECH of Tampa were awarded a contract with the Defence Logistics Agency in 2002 and again in 2004. Both were for "Cleaning and Lubricating Compound". The first was worth $32,305 and the second for $74,550 They may have been awarded more contracts under a different name or were sub-contracted. It would help if you knew the names of affiliated companies or if you have a particular contract in mind you could search on that and check the name of the awardee for clues. If you want more information, you can visit the website or perhaps email the guys that run the site and ask them nicely. Good luck! |
