NOTE: For this question, I don't really need detailed analysis, just
mainly the sources and which ones go together to demonstate which
point.

I need sources demonstrating that government subsidies/incentives/tax
breaks/etc. to domestic oil production would represent signifigant
increases to the research budget and implementation costs of an
alternative energy (including Hydrogen fuels cells, fusion,
photo-voltaic, wind generation, etc.)infrasturce if they were
redirected to those areas. I also need to know when experts predict
fossil fuels will run out both domestically and worlwide. I would also
like to read papers written with concrete facts (or opinions derived
from facts) that the US would be better off by focusing on alternative
energy systems instead of trying to increase domestic oil production.

I forgot to ask...I could really use some stats on jobs created as a
result of the emergence of an alternative energy system, (most likely
hydrogen). Breaking it down into types of jobs would be great...labor
intensive, blue collar, research, etc. Thanks!
