I need to know about Brian Kelly in England and his round the world
race with Clipper Ventures. I understand he has a web site
www.oceanracing.me.uk - but I can't find this on Google. Why is that?
- Thanks

Hello oceanracing-ga:

While the technology that Google uses to index the World Wide Web is
truly amazing stuff, it still needs to know that a site exists before
it can index it. This knowledge comes from many sources, such as
finding a link on another site which is then followed.

For http://oceanracing.me.uk/, there does not appear to be any sites
already known to Google that reference Brian Kelly's website. So,
unless someone tells Google about Brian's website, Google's robots do
not know to go looking for it.

The simplest way to accomplish this would be for Brian to submit his
website's URL to Google using the information found at:

While there is no guarantee that this will cause the robots to index
the site (the site must contain information that is indexable), it
usually works for small sites such as this one.

Please let me know if this is helpful to you; if so, I can post it as
the Answer to help you complete this Question.

Regards,

There are 2 main races for amateur offshore sailing in the UK, they are:

http://www.clipper-ventures.com and
http://www.challengebusiness.com

If your friend is doing the Clipper, I am sure you can track him down
using the Clipper site and contact him through that. They generally
have detailed crew lists, plus online journals and photos/ video
coverage too.

Plus, there is also a UK website - www.linkyourfriends.co.uk where
there are a great many offshore sailors registered as part of an
online community - you may find more details of him there

Hope this helps.
