Peter, a very dear friend of mine, broke a leg whilst holidaying in Goa in or around January 2002. Apparently, it was a scene reminiscent of 'Snows of Kilimanjaro', where Gregory Peck was smashed up whilst photgraphing hippos or something from a boat. Fortunately, like Greg, Peter's camera was not damaged in any way. Unfortunately, when Peter's leg was set, it was not quite in the right position. I am told that this is not unusual and that you don't necessarily have to go to Goa for this service. Anyhow, on his return home (to Belgium), the leg was duly re-set but it is still not quite perfect. Worse, he is still suffering, as evidenced from an email he sent me yesterday: QUOTE Eagerly awaiting your reply together with a recommendation for reducing a swollen ankle, inflamed Achilles tendon and one and a half stone of excess fat. UNQUOTE I have absolutely no idea what to suggest and evidently neither has his doctor. However, I have told him that I know an amazing Researcher who might be persuaded to do a search for helpful ideas. If you feel that this a 'GOA' please answer 'YES' and advise on a suitable price for a Question that you would like to research. If not, please answer 'NOAH' to this question. At the very worst, I suppose, we could send him some Banana Herat to cheer him up. Looking forward to your views. Warmest regards Bryan | |

Hi again Bryan! So it is a 'Noah' (It's a good thing there is such a thing as "cut & paste"). But since you have always been good to me and to Google Answers as whole, I will try post an alternative answer. I really hope I'm wrong but I think you're friend should take a second opinion there in Belgium as regards to his leg. I will list here some Orthopedic surgeons he might be able to visit.
