I am applying for a very highly sought after position selling cell
phones for Verizon Wireless.  Where can I find example resumes of what
types of past experience would best apply to this type of job?

You said high position, would that be B2B?  I'm in retail cell phone
sales, but know what it takes to get into the upper level positions. 
Most of the time they are looking for proven outside sales reps.  If
you already with the company and are at the top of your game in sales
it really helps.  Those are the type of people who usually get the
job, the one who have proven success in the company.  I know tons of
people who tried to get on with verizon without success, reguardless
of what their resume had on it.  My advice: Learn the company email
format, (name.name@verizon.com?)phone a retail store to figure out who
is the regional director of sale and email them directly.  The
regional manager if impressed will contact the "Gate Keeper" so that
you may get an interview.  Hope that helps.
