Two Norwegian male really-really late 20-somethings looking for semi-cheapo accomodation for super-charged Gibsonesque tour of Tokyo in July. Preferably busy area, central and close to subway. Capsule hotel suggestion need not apply, extra points for originality and zest. |

Dear kipster, I found some cheap accomodation for you in tokyo.I hope you will appreciate. This is asian culture center where economical accomodation is available for students and academic researchers at reasonable price with enough facilities. AJIA BUNKA KAIKAN (Asian Bunka Kaikan) 12-13 Honkomagome-2, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo 113 (subway Mita line, Sengoku Station exit no A3) Tel: 03-3946-4121 Fax: 03-3946-7599 E-mail: LE0067@niftyserve.or.jp Another is gaijin house. The rate is 2500 yen per night or 2000 yen for students. The house is modern and furniture is all new. The facilities in kitchen are excellent and there is free tea and coffee as well as free rental of bikes and a mobile phone. Details: Ichikawa convienient location 047-039-1539 www.freesianet.co.jp/gaijin Yet another cheap accomodation is " Tokyo international youth hostel". It is next to Lidanashi station. It is at the 18th floor and it is clean, elegant and comfortable. It has a beautiful sight from bedrooms as well as bathroom. But you must come back before 10:30 p.m. addl. links: Guesthouse in Ikejiri Ohashi http://www.agencedetokyo.com/flat.html hotels in japan http://www.tokyo.to/links/Section/Accomodation.html hope this helps. It could be alleged that the question was difficult and asked in an opaque manner, but the answer does not take into account our call for a special accomodation highlighting the futuristic / extremely urban aspects of Tokyo housing. In suggesting hostels with in non-central locations and strict curfews the answer does not take into account our wish for a 'turbo charged' vacation, and would suggest a lack of comprehension. Another issue we had was the week and a half it took for the question to be posted. Before the answer arrived we had long since found a place to live. |
