One computer is a Compaq, the one that's running is a E-Machine. The compaq one crashed and only has a flashing line in the left hand corner. Can I make a boot disc from this one? I tried to use the CD that came with the E-Machine but it doesn't work. Both computers are Windows XP (Xtra Problems) |

you can go here http://directcch.com/downloads/bootimages.html and download the last file, xpboot.exe. This will make a bootable winXP disk for you. If this works I would appreciate you accepting this as an answer so I might be paid for my services. Mother911-ga |

If you click on your start menu on the working computer, goto Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Backup, Click on the Emergency Repair Disk. That should work. Derek |
