Ed Berube was most recently the President & CEO of Bankers Life and
Casualty Company (based in Chicago, IL USA). He left the company
abrubtly within the last several months. Rumor is that he was
privately lining up investors, or was lobbying to have the company
bought,or something to that effect.  Bankers is the lrgest and most
profitable subsidiary of Conseco Company, who recently left Chapter 11
to become viable again. Where is Ed BErube now? Is he employed?
