1	Question
Find at least 3 packaged software or ASP services that meet the
following requirements. Provide a ?gap? analysis of the suggested
packages. Note all packages must comply with the ?Mandatory? user
requirements and the technical requirements.

2	Commercial Requirements

Solutions which are primarily ?custom builds? based on similar
existing projects will not be satisfactory.

Apart from ASP type services, solutions which can only be implemented
by ?solution partners? must have a partner in Sydney, Australia.
Otherwise solutions must be able to be implemented by any competent IT
organization with experience in the relevant industry standard
technology.

The maximum software price is to be 30,000 US dollars. Expected
software price is 10,000 US dollars. ASP service charges are to be
maximum 10,000 US dollars per annum, expected price 5000 US dollars
per annum.

Solutions must have at least 5 example applications in production.

3	System Requirements

3.1	General system description.

Software is to provide an online catalogue of pdf documents. Users
will search or browse the catalogue to find relevant documents.

The system will be used, maintained and updated via a web interface.

Licence model can be one-off licence or asp (rental) model.

System is to be deployed in Australia.

Production of the pdf documents is outside the scope of the system.

3.2	USER REQUIREMENTS

3.2.1	Mandatory
Documents stored in pdf format.

Documents referenced via a catalogue of categories and sub categories.

User can search through the contents of all publications and to
display relevant information on occurrences of a keyword.

Any query/search to display all relevant documents in the entire database

Search results to be scored to indicate the degree of relevance to the
topic/key word searched.

Documents to be composed of a number of separate sections including:
- summary
- main report
- supporting materials

Sections can be downloaded together as one document

Customers can order and purchase the summary and main report in a
hardcopy document. The system achieves this by sending the order to a
fulfillment partner who can print the document on demand. This
printing function beyond the order is outside the scope of the system.

3.2.2	Expected

Users can register their details to receive regular updates concerning
a specific topic or document.

Hyperlinks between publications and to other relevant supporting
materials within the database

Publications able to be displayed in part to confirm the relevance of
search results.

3.3	Technical Requirements
The system will run on either Windows2003 server or Linux. The system
will employ either a Microsoft SQL server database, mySQL database or
a run-time DBMS will be bundled with the system.

The system will be accessed via a web interface by both maintainers and users.

Web interface is customizable and user-friendly

Less than 1000 documents are to be published.

If the solution is a software rather than an ASP service it can be
hosted on ?standard? virtual servers.

I doubt that you will receive an answer to this complex, multi-part
question for $2. I suggest that you review the Google Answers pricing
