Pink,

Please find for me 1 or more images:
- by a painter considered a "master"
- containing 3-4 human figures (full-length, or mostly so)
- in different poses/positions
- lifelike detail (i.e. probably, but not necessarily, Renaissance)
- non-religious subject preferred

I'm only going to use one of these, so please don't kill yourself
finding them; one to a handful is enough.

Thanks!

Hi again, Ace!

I had a brainstorm. We need three human figures, head to toe, each in
a different pose.

The Three Graces!

Here are three versions by different artists:

Web Gallery of Art: The Three Graces (Raphael)
http://gallery.euroweb.hu/preview/r/raphael/2firenze/1/21graces.jpg

Web Gallery of Art: The Three Graces (Rubens)
http://gallery.euroweb.hu/art/r/rubens/22mythol/10graces.jpg

Web Gallery of Art: The Three Graces (Lucas Cranach the Elder)
http://gallery.euroweb.hu/art/c/cranach/lucas_e/2/04graces.jpg

Google search strategy:

Google Image Search: "three graces"
http://images.google.com/images?q=%22three+graces%22&hl=en

I hope this does the trick. Let me know if you need anything further.

Best,
Pink

Exactly what I wanted (I've never been fond of Rubens)!

Rembrandt's "The Militia Company of Captain Frans Banning Cocq,"
popularly known as "The Night Watch":

There are several portraits of families here that might be useful:

I especially like this one, of the family of Sir Thomas More:

Many paintings by Pieter Bruegel the Elder depict numerous figures in
a nonreligious manner. Take a look at "The Peasant Dance" and "Peasant
Wedding":

Do any of these catch your fancy?

Thanks *very* much for the tip!

I do rather like Rubens. I wish his vision of womanly sensuality were
shared by more men. Ladies are supposed to have flesh on 'em. They are
not supposed to be built from little bitty twigs. When a fella goes
out in the woods to chase nymphs, he should be able to tell the nymphs
from the trees. ;-)
