Is SLS (sodium laurate sulfate) toxic and, if so, what study proves
this? It was originally developed as an industrial degreaser and yet
it is listed as an ingredient in a large number of soaps and
toothpastes. Some enviornmental-oriented websites "mention" that it
is cancer-causing but I have yet to find any credible confirmation.
Can you?

Thanks to ac67-ga. I also researched other Q&As involving SLS.
Generally, the answer is no, but it is an irritant. I am withdrawing
my question.
