I live in eastern Washington state and my husband lives in British Columbia (in Canada). What is the most economical way for us to remain in telephone contact? I know it is difficult because we live in different countries, but is there any plan (with any company) where we won't get killed with charges? | |

Since it may take more than a few minutes, or even hours to correctly research this question, I suggest that you consider increasing your price, or reducing the complexity of your question. A researcher gets 75% of the listed price, so, for example, researching 10 different cell plan providers to see what they can offer for both options for you could take an hour or 2, plus phone time to clarify. The only response I could offer without the type of Research that Nenna-GA described, is to use the computer to communicate: only the connection to the Internet would cost you money. One of the programmes that offer a possibility for a voice conversation (like those on the phone) is Skype (www.skype.com) - it is a freeware, and if you download it, you talk at the costs of the connection to the Internet. Of course, you'll both need a mike and speakers/headphones, but these are pretty affordable. |
