I don't understand exactly what you're looking for. Could you give
some more details?

Hi gordie, Is this what you are seeking?

http://68.15.21.151/uploads/researchers/lens.jpg

(This is not the best picture, as they are intended for ANY glasses,
not just sunglasses.

These are plastic lenses that simply stick on to your glasses lens to
convert them to bi-focals (for reading. They are easily removed.

If this is the right "insert" then I will be happy to post an official
answer, complete with details as to where to purchase them.

Regards,
crabcakes

Hi birdie,

I feel the OPTX lenses are what you are asking about. They are not
?round?, but come in a half-moon shape.

Reading Glasses says:
?Turn any style of eyeglasses, sunglasses, or safety glassed into
reading glasses. These ingenious magnifying lenses bring small print
and close-up tasks back into focus.?

OPTX brand reading lenses are semi-circular ?stick on? lenses, that
cling to your glasses. They can be removed and replaced anytime,
leaving no residue. This page has an illustrated method for putting
the lens on.

This site sells the OPTX lenses for $21 USD a pair, or two pair for
$35 USD, free shipping on either order.

The OPTYX lenses can be purchased at Bruce Optical as well:

Another site where the lenses can be purchased:

Even Amazon.com sells OPTX lenses - $19.95 USD!

A customer?s testimonial, from Magellan?s : ?I bought a pair of these
lens several years ago from a distributor in Edmonton for $20.00 CDN.
They are one of the best purchases I have ever made. I can see
distances fine but at my age, I need cheaters to read. These stick on
lens allow me to enjoy the sun and still read my book rather than just
admire the bathing suits on the beach. Before I acquired the lens, I
would be relegated to the shade if I wanted to read.?

An entrepreneur, Peter LaHaye started Neoptyx, company that makes OPTX lenses.
Neoptyx started marketing the OPTX lenses, now available in 9
different magnifications, in 1995.

Hello gordie,
First, I'd like to apologize for mistyping your name in my answer! (I
have no idea where I got "Birdie" from!

I have asked the editors to remove my answer so another researcher
can work on it.

I'm sorry I was unable to find what you were seeking. However, in
fairness to me, had you asked for an Answer Clarification, before
rating, I could have researched your question further.
