Univ of texas.. (ages 8-18) http://texassports.com/mainpages/001_structure/camppages/tf_camp.html usatf youth clubs.. http://www.usatf.org/clubs/search/info.asp?associationNumber=43 runningtimes list.. http://www.runningtimes.com/links/camp_links.htm consider sending them to a camp not so local. Thats part of what makes a camp a learning experience is getting away from home. |

6 to 8 years old is a bit young for formal running training in my opinion. However, Runtex (www.runtex.com) offers something called Marathon Kids and may also know of some local coaches, etc. For instance, just yesterday they had a seminar. http://runtex.com/NewsView.asp?key_m=121 Runtex is a great store and they are staffed with very knowledgeable and good people. Disclaimer: I worked there in 2000 so I am a bit biased. ;-) |
