Question ID: 338579
I am interested in sustainable residential architecture in Germany. I
understand that green building techniques are encouraged by the
government and even required through governmental ordinances. What
types of requirements exist? What specific laws or requirements are
there? Are there particular areas of Germany which emphasize the
importance of sustainable design? If I am mistaken about the
prevalence of legal enforcement, how is green residential architecture
perpetuated in Germany? I would appreciate relevant academic articles.
Pertinent web pages would also be very helpful. Thank you so much!

Is this question too multi-faceted to answer? Would it be helpful if I
broke up the question? Answers to parts would also be helpful. Please
let me know how I can make this question more approachable because I
would very much like an answer. Thanks so much.

Multi-part questions often do better when each part is posted
separately. This enables more than one Researcher to work on finding
your information.

On a different subject, it would be helpful if we knew whether or not
you are able to read German, since material relevant to your questions
is more likely to be found on German-language sites. If you repost
this as several questions, you might want to mention whether or not
you'll accept articles and webpages that are written in German.
