Since 1980, The Economist magazine has been endorsing US presidential candidates:

I would like to know which candidate The Economist endorsed in these
six elections and a citation of the article in which the endorsement
occurred. |

Dear A Thomas,
You're asking for (at least) six links, each requiring a separate
research. For that, you're offering $3 (from which the Researcher
receives only $2). Questions in this price level are usually answered
by a a single link, not by a comprehensive Research.

Is $15 enough?

Just so you know, I took a look through the Economist database
records. Their endorsements are actually tough to find, because
they're so emphatically understated - no headline or topic area that
would clue you in to an endorsement.
I found several of them over the years, but by no means all of them.
In 1980, in particular, I gave a very comprehensive going over of
their articles, but found nothing that could be deemed an endorsement.
I'm not convinced there was one in 1980, their comments to the
contrary notwithstanding.
Anyway, if I do manage to somehow come up with all six, I'll post an answer for you.

Which ones did you find? How about $5 for each one?
