I am having a problem with opeining up mpg files from online.
Whenever I try to open an mpg file from Internet Explorer, windows
media player comes up, and says: "Connecting..." at the bottom. But it
just sits there, and when I click stop, it freezes, and If I exit the
window, windows media player continues to run in the background.

This happens wheneer I try to open an .mpg, .m1v, or any other mpeg
file from Internet Explorer. If I download the file to my computer and
play it, it runs fine in media player.

Whenever I tried opening an mpeg file online a few day ago, it worked,
but now it isn't working. I just recently instaled a DVD+RW drive with
the following software:
Sonic MyDVD
Arcsoft ShowBiz
HP Simple backup
cyberlink PowerDVD
and the drivers for the hardware.

I have a firewall, but I disabled it and tried it again, but it still
didn't work. I also tried opening the same file on another computer(in
Internet Explorer), and it did work.
I also tried opening that file in mozilla FireFox, and it worked also.

So, what I need is information about why this is happening, and how to fix it.

I also have run Spybot-search and destroy, ad-aware, norton virus
scanner, norton windoctor, and norton one-button-checkup.
