I want advice as to how to organize a local or regional trade association for beauty salon owners, operators, barbershops, etc. This trade association will cater to the needs of African hair care and / or natural or chemical free hair care and styling such as braiding and weaving. What is the IRS designation 501(c)?that I should be seeking for this effort and are there any template or sample IRS applications that I can use for this effort. |

Dear Khandi You'll be operating under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(a) http://www.irs.gov/charities/article/0,,id=96120,00.html You will find all the information you need about how to fill in the application for your association here: http://www.form1023help.com/ Sounds like an excellent idea for an association. Best wishes Your TaxMama-ga |
