Wonder if you could supply me with some enlightenment of where and under
what preferred conditions the plant Glaucidium palmatum is found in
the wild?

Glaucidium Palmatus is a Japanese woodland plant that blooms with
large, silky pale purple-pink blossoms in earliest Spring. It prefers
cool shade, and moist, well-drained soil. A rare variety has snowy
white petals.
