Question ID: 339334
I have a laptop that uses a docking station with a dvd/floppy drive.
As I don't usually need these I didn't bother purchasing one for the
laptop. However, I now need to reinstall windows xp from scratch -
what's the best way to go about doing this?

If you can connect your laptop to a computer with the Windows CD I
think that you will be able to do that, so please let us know if your
laptop has an ethernet card or other type of network connector
installed and if you have a network where you can connect your laptop.

Is your computer a Standalone machine or is it part of a network ?

Are there similar computers arround that have a cd drive you can use ?

Did you check the Hardisk of the computer to see if there is a windows
installation directory present ?
