Dear tumbleweed61,
Here is what I found out:
-- The Bargweg in Groningen --
There seems to be only one place with a street named "Bargweg" in the
entire Groningen Province; that place is the village of
Emmer-Compascuum, part of the Emmen Municipality (Gemeente Emmen).
You can see the Bargweg by clicking this link; the street is located
in the center of the map:

In case the above links do not work properly, please follow this link.
Though the Bargweg is not labelled, you can find it easily: It is
located right below the word "COMPASCUUM", reaching from the "O" to
the "S":

-- The Onnerweg in Haren --
Follow this link to see a map of the Haren Municipality (Gemeente
Haaren) in the Groningen Province, Netherlands. You will see the
street named "Onnerweg" approximately in the center of the map:

I have other maps of the Netherlands. I can't seem to find
Emmer-Compascumm listed or located. How far is it from Groningen.
Is it possible that Bargweg is a Frisian name for a town, or the name
of a town that has been changed? My grandparents lived there at the
turn of the century.
Since the links you sent me don't acutally label the street, I'd like
to know. Is it possible that this is a road near Fraelemagorg?

Thank you for letting me know about your additional needs. I have made
a number of maps for you that will show you exactly both the location
of the village of Emmer-Compascuum and of the Bargweg there. On some
maps, I added a big red arrow pointing to the place of interest, so
you can locate it more easily.

On this map, you can see the location of Emmen; the distance to
Groningen is only approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles):
http://home.foni.net/~scrippor/google/emmer-7.jpg
This map shows you where the village of Emmer-Compascuum is located;
the distance to the town of Emmen is approx. 8 kilometers (5 miles):
http://home.foni.net/~scrippor/google/emmer-6.jpg
This map will provide you a general impression of Emmer-Compascuum;
please note that the yellow strip running from the top edge to the
bottom edge of the map is the Dutch-German border, so Emmer-Compascuum
is only 500 meters (550 yards) from the border:
http://home.foni.net/~scrippor/google/emmer-5.jpg
A closer zoom on Emmer-Compascuum:
http://home.foni.net/~scrippor/google/emmer-3.jpg
On this map, you can clearly see the Bargweg labelled:
http://home.foni.net/~scrippor/google/emmer-2.jpg
This is the closest zoom map of the area surrounding the Bargweg in
Emmer-Compascuum I could find:
http://home.foni.net/~scrippor/google/emmer-1.jpg
I would like to add that despite extensive research, I have found no
evidence or indication whatsoever that a village, hamlet or other
place named Bargweg had ever existed. This would also be unlikely for
the reason that "-weg" means "-way", which denotes a street, a lane,
or a path, but not a locality. Also, "Bargweg" is not Frisian, but
Dutch/Low German, which I can identify without any problems since I am
native of Northern Germany myself. "Bargweg" means just "Mound Way".
Please don't hesitate to ask for further clarification if something
remains unclear.
Regards,
Scriptor

My Aunt wrote that the meaning of the word is "Castle Way." It is
most probable that the officials at Ellis Island spelled the word
incorrectly. Is there a Borgweg closer to Groningen?

The fact that the place name is meant to translate as "Castle Way"
changes everything. Indeed that name would be "Borgweg" in Dutch, so a
case of misspelling is very probable here. And there is a place named
Borgweg in the Groningen Province.
It belongs to the Hoogezand-Sappemeer Municipality. It is a former
village (very small), now part of the town of Hoogezand-Sappemeer.
You can see its location on this map (upper left quarter of the map):

This map shows that the Hoogezand-Sappemeer Municipality is located
only a few kilometers east of the town of Groningen:
