grandmothers--who names the baby?

Chapter XX of an 1868 book, "Life Among the Apaches" by John Cremony,
contains a section entitled "How Apaches Are Named."  The book is
available new or used from Amazon.com and, as a classic of its genre,
it may be available at a library conveneient to you.
