I would like to find a detailed bicycling itinerary (timing and number of kilometers) from the center of Paris to Joinville-le-Pont (outskirts of Paris)along the Marne river. My target would be to have lunch at a restaurant called "Chez Gégéne" in Joinville-le-Pont before heading back to Paris. | |

This is a description of a cycle route which goes beyond your destination. It gives some distances, plus detailed descriptions. As it is not exactly what you requested, I am posting it as a comment only http://www.mayq.com/Cycling_out_of_paris/Route_2_east/Route_2_east.htm |

The link that tehuti-ga posted is the best that I've found, too. Clearly your journey is a "few hours" rather than a "day trip", but I can't find anything more specific than that on the web or at my local library. Chez Gégéne sounds like a great place: Thomas Sipusic, "dancing in paris" Online posting (26 June 1994) <rec.arts.dance> vis Google Groups: http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=Cs23CA.3o5%40nntpa.cb.att.com |
