Question ID: 339937
In the United Kingdom, I want to install a fan in the window of an
inner porch door so that when the south-facing double-glazed
conservatory gets hot - say 75 degrees Fahrenheit - the fan will blow
warm air from the conservatory into the remainder of the house. The
fan needs to be thermostatically controlled so that when I am not
there, the conservatory doesn't over-heat and I can use the excess
heat to heat the otherwise mainly unheated house. For security
reasons, both the inner and outer doors to and from the conservatory
need to be locked - and for the same reason I can't leave the the
windows open when I'm not there.

Where can I buy such a fan in the UK and do I really need two - one to
suck and the other to blow! - as otherwise the conservatory will be
airtight and a single fan wouldn't be able to suck mcuh air out!

HI,

This is exactly what green house fans do, maybe you can try your local nursery?

I've searched Google in the UK - but can't find such a fan advertised!
