juggler-ga asked for more info. Goodbye Lenin was shown on TV in NYC
around 3am one night BEFORE it was ever released in the movie
theatres. I saw it during an insomnia spell. However my friends and
family tell me it is impossible. Is this enough information?

Greasecicada --

I think that you myay be confusing the film with another one, which
I've verified DID play frequently on late night NY television as early
as January, 2001.

I'd be happy to post the details if you're interested.

As you're probably aware, "Good Bye, Lenin" was released in the U.S. in 2003:

What do you remember of the film that you saw on TV?

I, and presumably other researchers and commenters such as juliat,
have seen the movie. We could verify whether it was the one you saw.

It's a German film written by Wolfgang Becker, starring Daniel Bruhl
and Katrin Sass. I love that movie.
