Hello sblake - do you know the name or address of the glass factory
you visited, to help us find out if that particular one has a website?

If not, would you like the websites for other glassmakers from Murano
who do sell their products online? Please tell us if there is a
particular kind of glass you have in mind, e.g. vases or animal
figures, so we can do our best to find what you want.

Thanks - Leli

Hi, I'm looking for finished glass products. Specifically a small
glass bowl with gold trim that could be used as a candy dish or
perhaps an ashtray. Although one of the sites that you found did have
ashtrays and they were too large compared to the one I previously
purchased. Basically, it can fit in the palm of your hand. Again,
thanks for all the good information. Blake

I'm afraid I haven't found a website for Vecchia Murano. They are
associated with some of the glassblowers in this directory of Murano
companies, but these are not offering online sales to individuals:
http://www.vetrodimurano.org/

Also note the link to a "Murano Glass Shop" (alternating with Tommasi)
where you can buy Murano glass online.

You don't say whether you're looking for raw glass or finished glass
products. If it's raw glass, you might try asking at Frantz Art Glass
(http://www.frantzartglass.com). There is a brand of glass called
"Vetrofond" which glass workers sometimes refer to as "Murano". I
don't know for sure whether they are one and the same, though. The
owner is currently on his way back from Italy from a buying trip, so
there may be some delay getting an answer from him.
