Translation of "Seize the day" or Carpe Diem into Scots Gaelic. "Conquer" or "capture" would work as well as would "today". |

I emailed my friend Dougal, whose family speaks Gàidhlig (Scots Gaelic). My friend's suggestion is "gabh an latha." A rough pronunciation would be "gahv an law." Here you'll find an interesting discussion of how to translate "seize the day" into Irish Gaelic.
