Translation of "Seize the day" or Carpe Diem into Scots Gaelic.
"Conquer" or "capture" would work as well as would "today".

I emailed my friend Dougal, whose family speaks Gàidhlig (Scots
Gaelic). My friend's suggestion is "gabh an latha." A rough
pronunciation would be "gahv an law."

Here you'll find an interesting discussion of how to translate "seize
the day" into Irish Gaelic. The consensus of opinion in this forum is
that "forgabh an là" (or "gabh an là) is a good translation:

I hope this helps!

Fast and friendly. And a bonus track. I waited a year for an answer
at a Scots Gaelic forum, nada. Now I can seize the day in 4
languages.
