Greetings, iris!
Are you asking if it's against the law to do this in Florida, or are
you interested in finding out whether it's possible to do this?

I would like to find out if it is possible to do this - a friend has
built a model home and was wondering if it was possible for me to
become and agent, live in the house and show it 8-5... so i guess the
legalities would come into play as well.

Iris,
Would you receive payment for each home sale arranged with buyers to
whom you show the house, or would being allowed to live on site be
your only compensation?
Thanks,
ace

I am presuming that if I were working as a real estate agent, I would
be earning compensation on homes that I sell. The original model home
was built by a family friend and he would be the one giving me
'permission' to live in the house rent-free as long as this is legal.
That way they don't have to hire an outside real estate agent to show
the home to potential buyers. The idea to live there allows them 24
hour coverage on the house to show it at any time... we are interested
in knowing whether or not there is any laws against people living in a
model home, an agent showing a home they live in, or anything along
those lines. Thanks!

iris,
When you say "if I were working as a real estate agent", do you mean
