Question ID: 340813
I have a standard piece of browser based business software.
When printing an invoice I want the option to email via Outlook
directly to the client - instead of printing it conventionally on
paper.
This can be either as an attachment or within the contents of the
email. How can I do this? (I don't want to cut & paste)
It is not practical to ask the software provider to change their software.

I.e. I don't want to physically print an invoice I want to choose a
windows "printer" that will direct the output to Microsoft Outlook.
(I do want to retain the option to print conventionally tho').

Well you could 'Print to File' and then right click on the file and
'Send To > Mail Recipient'.

Adobe Acrobat and PDF files are specifically made for this type of workflow.

You "print" from any Windows application to a PDF file, then you can
email that file anywhere you want. PDF files can be viewed on almost
any platform.

Thanks for suggestions.
However, I am looking for an automatic link directly into Outlook -
simply by choosing a particular printer (?)

If there is an automatic link such as you describe, then I wouldn't know where.

Sorry!

Hi,

"I have a standard piece of browser based business software."

If it is web based, it should be easy to add a button to EMAIL.
