Hello,
Lewa Downs was the initial name of the conservation park established
by the Craig family. The tourist portion of the park is now known as
Lewa Safari Camp. Their contact and booking information is given on
the following web page.

The safari camp is managed by the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.

According to that site, "the Craig family handed over the management
of the ranch to a non-profit organisation the Lewa Wildlife
Conservancy." Unfortunately, I could not find direct email addresses
for either Ian or William Craig, however the Conservancy would
certainly be able to forward messages.
Here is the contact information for visitors interested in visiting

PS-- If you are interested in rhino conservation in that area, I
highly recommend the book Rhino At the Brink of Extinction. The author
is Anna Merz, who helped to establish the Ngare Sergoi Rhino Sanctuary
at the western end of Lewa Downs. Written in 1991, the book is both
entertaining and informative. The ISBN is 0-00-219920-3. |
