Dear Leo Graywolf,

As you probably know, all of the four people you mentioned play for
the Hobart and William Smith Colleges soccer team, as you can see
here:
<http://www.hws.edu/athletics/hobart/soccer/roster.asp>

None of the four played in a big professional club, though they did
participate in small, regional, clubs. The information, therefore, is
available only in Swedish. They did not play in any major league
football club in Europe.

Carl Fried appears in one report on a match (where ?lta actually
lost...) : <http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:pxzLFFfHX0YJ:www.syrianskanorsborg.com/1matchrapport.htm++fotboll+%22Carl+Fried%22+OR+%22fried+carl%22+&hl=en>
(In Swedish). He played this match in 2002, and given the fact that
he's a sophmore now, it is unlikely that he managed to play in any
other team.

His former group, ?lta is playing in the third devision, in the
reginal league of Stockholm.

Farid Hafsia, played even higher - in the second devision, in
Sp?rv?gens FF (Fotbollf?rening) . Here's a second-division match where
he scored and even "beat" a rival team:
<http://www.svenskfotboll.se/print/result.asp?WCI=wiResults&WCU=466800

Here's is the club's site:
<http://www.sparvagensff.com/>

A club internal news from 2002 locates also John Rosenbaum in a small
Stockholm club, that plays in the fourth division, that serves mostly
Turkish immigrants:
Nyheter (scroll to May 16th, 2002) - in Swedish
<http://www.stockholmsif.com/nyhet/nyheter.asp>
here's a match erport where he scored:
<http://www.stockholmsif.com/resultat/matchinfo.asp?resultatID=41>

His former club - Stokholm SIF Genclerbirligi

As for the last player, Micke Subotowitz, there is no online evidence
that he even played in the lower divisions' amature clubs, where the
others have played.

I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any
clarification on this answer.

Search strategy:
Though composed only of few paragraph, I had to conduct pretty intense
Research in order to find this information. Search by players' names,
both in Swedish and in English (as well as in German sites), yielded
some positive results, although as it is with many small clubs,
information is not always handy. Names of places, especially in the
cases of the two with the more common names - Carl Fried and John
Rosenbaum - helped to locate them. From there, the names of the clubs
where used as an aid to find further information.

I was hoping that Google had the capability of going into the Swedish
sites and translating them for me on this question. Bottom line is: I
need to know if any of the men whose names I submitted ever played in
the Swedish soccer minor leagues, after gymnasium, and did any of them
receive payment for their playing. I need to know which teams and
proof of payment. I really had found out most of the other intell
myself. You did a fine job on the research but I need it to go
further. If you need more money to dig deeper, let me know, because I
am the CIO of StealthComm: HQ, a civilian intelligence service, and we

situations. I can see a very amiable relationship with Google in the
future if we can work together for mutual interests. See website at:

Thank you for your effort so far

Dear Leo Graywolf,

Thank you. The team's sites do not indicate if they are professional
in the sense that the players get money for their work.

However, I am enquiring further as you asked and hope to find a way to
know if they have been paid or not.
