I own a Verizon LG model phone (model no #VX4400).  I would love to
personalize it a bit with some new ringtones and custom wallpaper, but
I don't want to subscribe to an expensive, billable service that
charges 3 or 4 bucks for every upload.  The "Get It Now" service that
Verizon pushes is a rip off.  Isn't there a free or inexpensive way to
add new tunes or pictures to your cellphone via the web, or other
method?  I have tried hunting around online, but the info is very
confusing and can't tell if it is applicable to my specific model
phone.  Am looking for specific directions on where to go for free or
cheap ringtones and picture upload capacity for my particular brand
Verizon phone.

I was wondering the same thing for my VX6000 and found that you can
buy a USB Data Cable on eBay or where ever. Connect it to your phone
and download ringtones/images onto your phone. The cable cost around
$10 so it's not too much and usually comes with a cd with the driver
to work with on your PC. You can also find cd's containing Ringtones
and Wallpapers on eBay with a ton of stuff. Hope that helps.

uhmm the USB  Cable It cost 20$  usd. at radio shack  and the drivers
for it i havent found yet but when i do ill let every one know abouyt
it for sure.

I'm not so sure about verizon ringtones and wallpapers, but i would
recommend you to try www.all-ringtones.biz . They offer free
polyphonic and free voice ringtones and also tones of premium
ringtones, color wallpapers, free sms service etc. But I think you'll
want to visit the page where you can check your mobile phone
compatibility(You should find the link on their main page).
