I am actually taking a course (136.130-An introduction to vectors,
matrices, systems of linear equations and three-dimensional
geometry.[Vector Geometry and Linear Algebra]it uses the book by
anton)at the university of Manitoba. I would like to know of any
tutorial links, online texts, textbook solutions e.t.c that would help
me in this subject N.B i used exam cram but it had next to nothing. |

Hi, my Main man:
Do you have access to any mathematical modelling packages like
Mathematica, Matlab, Maple, or Mathcad?
Many "interactive tutorials" will build on these foundations, instead
of starting from scratch with Java applets. So please advise if these
are available to you.

I don't think the course requires those softwares,or will it? I don't
have them and also what do you mean by "starting from scatch using
jave aplets".

Many interactive demonstrations or "tutorials" available on the Web
will involve small software applications written in Java or other
scripting languages that run within the framework of your browser.
Java is a general programming language, not specifically focused on
linear algebra, so developing such demos often involves a certain
amount of "reinventing the wheel". Their attraction is that Java is
freely available on most platforms, and the "applets" distributed in
this fashion are highly portable.

thanks. If I'd be needing to understand any of those softwares,I guess
I could get them online because I don't have any of them.If the java
aplets would aid me in understanding the subject based on the course
outline. That would be cool then.
