Hi Mike,
Thanks for the question, and it's good to work with *you* again!
"Drug Store News" ( www.drugstorenews.com ), published 20 times a year
by Lebhar-Friedman, is a periodical featuring articles on drug stores,
drug wholesalers, combination food and drug stores, and stores with
pharmacies.
I found the information your daughter seeks in one of their
periodicals, dated 15th December 2003.
According to an article, Meijer's own consumer research showed that
Wal-Mart Supercenter shoppers spend an average of $61.88 per visit.
"Meijer's most loyal customers were surpassed marginally by Wal-Mart
Supercenter shoppers, who make approximately 43 trips a year and spend
an average of $61.88 per visit."

I also came across the same information in a more recent article on
the Detroit News website:
"According to trade publication Drug Store News, Meijer?s average
shoppers visit 40 times a year and spend $60.20 per visit. Wal-Mart
supercenter shoppers visit 43 times a year and spend $61.88 on each
trip on average."
